I guess they were remodeling or adding classrooms or something, because they weren't ready for us when I started Kindergarten in Sept. 1961, and we were moved there several months into the school year.
I don't remember Miss Bowen. I had Mrs. Schmelster, who my older brother Sheldon also had in 1954 at the little school house on Quassaick. I remember in 1961 the other Kindergarten teacher at Vail's Gate was Mrs. Macy. I had her husband Mr. Macy in 5th grade.
