 I don't remember much about men's softball in those days but I do remember some of the women who were on the Shapiro Jewel's Softball team. Actually, I'm not 100% sure if I'm correct about ALL of these ladies being on the team, but here are some who might have been on it......
Celia Corrado, Ann Cassidy, Flo Meenagh, Josephine Angelo, Ann Brown, Nancy Dorazio, Mary Donato, Barbara Powells, Janet Lawlor, and Marie Grieco. Celia was my cousin and she was a terrific athlete, as were these other girls.
Does anyone else remember Shapiro's Jewels?
