El concepto de la Inmaculada Concepcion no se refiere a la concepcion virginal de Jesus por obra del Esporitu Santo en el vientre de Maria. La Inmaculada Concepcion se refiere a que Maria fue concebida (por su padre San Joaquin y su madre Santa Ana) sin mancha de pecado original, a diferencia del resto de los seres humanos que llevamos la mancha del pecado original hasta que es lavada por el Bautismo.
