My dear Ekta !
What you have acheived at his tender age, very few people have been able to do it. I feel that you have surpassed your father as far as acheivements are concened. You have been able to conceive plots which all start with 'K' and it is more than twenty serials in various TV channels. But as a sensitive spectator I wish to mention some general points about your three serials; KSBKBT, KGGK & KZK:
1. The serials are running since the last five years or more, with storyline still hanging in the air. If you remember serials like Buniyaad, Discovery of India and Hum-log which came on DD more than twenty years back had a limited timespan of 52/104 episodes and still they are widely remembered. If you eat a chewing gum, its flavour remains in the muth for ten minutes or so; after that it becomes tasteless. This is true for your serials also. Now your serials are becoming tasteless and viewership is decreasing. To maintain public interest you should solve the issues at a quick pace. I will suggest that try to wind up these three serials by 31.12.2007 and from 2008 onwards launch new serials. Limit yourself to one year or so in a serial. If you want to make pacey serials then try to see films directed by late Vijay Anand.
2. In serials like KSBKBT five generations are living together which is practically impossibl. Characters like Tulsi have aged by 20 years but by appearance she appears to be aged by two years only. Same is the case of all characters in other serials also.
3. When you take social issues like rape, re-marriage, murder/homicide, mercy killing etc. try to handle it in a sensitive manner. You can take guidance from stalwarts like Gulzar et.al withj whom your father has done a couple of films. Secondly you are prolonging these issues in such a manner that interest of the viewer is waning.
I hope you will take my criticism in a positive manner.
