Subject: Thailand mid Feb to mid March

Wanting to travel to Thailand in mid-Feb, about 16th, to mid-March for 1 month. I was there last year too visiting the now Tsunami-affected Phuket, Ko Phi Phi and Ko Lanta, but did it alone. This year thinking of doing an open water diving course on Ko Tao (4 days about £110.) Also would like to spend time in the forests e.g Khao Sok.

I'm 38, a gay man and rather unfit with really bad snoring - I'm told. I may have just spoilt it for myself there... but separate accomodation is possibly a good idea anyway. It's so cheap out there. Generally I paid up to £16 a night. Quite often more like £11 We could try sharing a twin and if that doesn't work out either go our separate ways or get seperate rooms...

I did a 2 day trek North of Chiang Mai last year and apart from my wide frame making walking across logs over streams a bit scary at times I managed fine. The thin air in those mountains made breathing difficult too. However even the guide requested a stop or two... A trek is not a definite thing this year, but I wouldn't say no to a visit to Pai/Sappong from Mae Hong Son.

I'm into chilling on the beach with beers and great seafood for days too. I have a great sense of humour and love trying new things.

Check out my travelogue last year on http://www.travelpod.com/cgi-bin/guest_login.pl?tweb_tripID=thailand-2004&tweb_UID=kpack&tweb_PID=tpod
I think it'll give you an idea of my sense of humour too (good thing or bad thing?);-)

Kevin
