All right, everyone, I need your help.
To put it plainly, my computer sucks. It has a 286 processor, 88 megs of memory, NO internet, Windows 3.11, and Winword 1.0. Needless to say, this is not conductive
to a young femmes' hobby.
However, my Mom, also called Her Malevolence, has offered to get me a new(er) computer, due to the fact that we can get one via payments.
The problem, however, stems from the fact that she refuses to get me Internet access as well. According to her(and she HAS watched the Tuna videos, by the way), she will NOT be the mother of an addict, whether I'm on opium or Lady D's Overdose series.
You see, she doesn't appreciate the coolness of Beast Wars, and the 'discussion' degenerated to the point that she WON'T get me a new computer AT ALL, unless I can give her 10 good reasons why.
So far, I've gotten:
1) If I'm writing fanfiction, I'm not out drinking, smoking, or causing mayhem.
2) I'm going to need excellent writing skills for college, which I'm developing by writing here.
3) I have a HUGE World History research paper over Egyptian mythology, and I need to be able to do the research.
4) I'm developing the computer skills that SHE never got a chance to learn to use when she was in high school, and hasn't she always told me that she wants better for me than she had a a child?
5) I'll let her use it . . . maybe . . . on the weekends that I go to my dad's, of course.
6) It'll keep me from having to continuously use the school and library computers all the time.
And that's it. PLEASE come up with something useable, and write it either here, or send it to blackwidina@hotmail.com.
This also extends to any stuff you have over Egyptian mythology.
