Smoky roll & roll looks:

1.) Create an almond-shaped eye w/ black pencil. Keep the line very thin and close to the lashes. Think cat's eye: Drop: Drop the line a tiny bit at the inner corner. When you get three quarters of the way to the inner corner, drag the line up and out.

2.) Go over the line w/ sooty shadow for a smudgier look.

3.) Add false lashes-only on top. They're key to changing your eye shape-the liner elongates, and the lashes take it up and out.

4.) Black mascara top and bottom opens your eyes up even further. Start at the root of your lash and roll out. Continue the stroke all the way through the application.

PLEASE TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY!!!! I don't want to seem scared, but this
makes a lot of sense right now - it never hurts to be alert!

Some of you may have seen the news yesterday where a woman was carjacked
at Cobb Parkway and Highway 92 (Acworth). While fleeing, the carjacker
crashed into a cement truck and the victim was killed instantly. (She
was 30 yrs.old and a mother of two small toddlers) As the carjacker was
fleeing, (with a gun) a citizen shot and killed him! (thankfully). The
police think this is the same man who raped a woman last weekend,
(school teacher 2 months away from retirement), took her to her bank and
had her clean out her ATM, and then stabbed her! (thankfully she did not
die). The police also think this man is from New Orleans.

Today here at the office we had a patient who came in who is a 9-1-1
operator. She said that calls are coming in like crazy over the past 2
weeks with carjackings! (right around the time we have had this influx
of new residents!)

You won't hear this on the news as the media will not let this out....
But I did hear on Fox News this morning that there are 4,500 sex
offenders that were let out of prison in New Orleans that have NOT
re-registered! All the communities who have taken in these folks are
now at risk.

The purpose of this email is to put all of you on ALERT! Lock your car
doors the minute you get in. Keep your homes locked. This is not the
same community we had 2 weeks ago. Hopefully things will get back to
normal but be AWARE!

Please let others know about this, as I would feel horrible if something
happened to one of my friends or family members and I had this
knowledge.

HIDDEN FEES
Letter from Parent:
The cost to attend the Millie Lewis AMTC is around "$1,700." ($1,700). This includes three categories. Each additional category is $100. These are said to be optional, but you are also told the more categories you enter the better your chances. The $1,700 does not include the cost of the hotel, which is around $150-$200 a night. YOU HAVE to stay in the hotel where the convention is located. The convention lasts six days. Total hotel expense: $900-$1,200. ($3,900) You are told there are no hidden costs. But you must pay $100 per pass per person if you want to watch the convention. ($4,000) You pay around $600 for pictures that you have to take to the AMTC. ($4,600) The AMTC book is $35. ($4,635) I think you pay for the AMTC shirt, too. ($4,650) You must pay for your travel, food, etc. ($5,000) On the sheet they provide you are told you won't have to invest in the clothes you must wear at the convention, but when you take your clothes to the "wardrobe" check you will learn something different. You are led to believe that the $1,700 will cover everything until you pay your $500 deposit, and you get your information on the AMTC. You can't get the information until you pay the deposit. Also, you are told that you can make payments on this. You are even given a payment plan. After they get your $500, they tell you to forget about the payment plan. You can't get your money back, either. Let's say something happens and you can't attend, or you have paid for half of it, and something comes up. You have just lost your money. The total cost, roughly speaking, is around $5,000. This is when you add everything together. It's probably more than that if you take a closer look.

My experience with Millie Lewis International was similar to the other parental letter. Fortunately, having some experience with another company, I knew no money should have been immediately due. Also, I have a real big problem with someone trying to "convince" me of their honesty and integrity... it should automatically come through.

After attending a convention with my daughter and the competitors reading a line or two we were then shown a film and success stories. At the end of the program we were told the cost of the convention was "1795" or "seventeen-ninety-five." My daughter thought she meant $17.95, because she made it a point to repeatedly not say "seventeen-hundred-and-ninety-five" dollars.

We were then told that a $500 deposit would be due today if you were called back. Well ultimately she was called. When I told them that there was no possibility of having the money today, they thanked me and asked us to come another time.

After reading how the cost grew I am ever appreciative that we did not put down the money, since it would have inevitably been lost.

Thank you for posting the comments because in the program they tell you to check them out at the Better Business Bureau, but I found that link to be uninformative.

PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY
At least four parents who paid for their children to attend the Millie Lewis American Modeling & Talent Convention said they paid for professional photography prior to the convention. This was at the advice of or it was a requirement of AMTC. According to the above email excerpt, "You pay around $600 for pictures that you have to take to the AMTC."

This is a total violation of modeling industry standards. Agents and experts all advise against spending money on professional photography, comp cards, and portfolios before you get representation with a modeling agency. Furthermore, the price AMTC charges is far in excess of what those who do have representation should pay.

As if the entire convention was not expensive enough with the admission price, hotel expense, travel costs, and everything else, they throw in another $600 for "professional" photos and prints, which incidentally, many agents don't need, many times don't want, and, may, in fact, toss out.

If you visit the websites of the agencies whose agents supposedly attend AMTC, you can find out for yourself what type of pictures they want and don't want.

According to one parent who paid ML for professional pictures prior to AMTC, the photographer was on staff at a Millie Lewis agency, yet he was not even a professional photographer, but they were asked to pay professional photography rates!

Therefore the only conclusion is the money parents spend for professional pictures prior to the AMTC is going straight into the pockets of Millie Lewis. For every 1,000 kids who attend AMTC and pay $600 for pictures, $600,000 is going to AMTC, money that may or may not be split with photographers.

My daughter was so excited, she heard about it on the radio. How could it be a scam? After all it was on her favorite station.

I was not so sure. I didn't want to rain on her parade, so I agreed to keep her out of school for the day and bought her a new outfit.

We went to the audition, but something just did not seem right about it. I didn't say anything to my daughter she was too excited.

Moving on... she did her reading, danced and sang. We had a wonderful time watching all the people get up and show of their talent... or not. Only thing missing was Simon from American Idol.

The next morning the phone rang.

"Good News," said the lady on the line. She has been called back. For the small price of... I said no thanks and hung up.

Now I have the painful task of telling my sweet, talented little girl that it was all a ****.

I do have to say... we had a wonderful time together!

In efforts to help out the Hurricane victims, myself and other local Pageant Directors have come together to start a campaign to gather goods needed by these survivors. We are donating free pageant entries to Local Pageants, Tanning, and Hair and Makeup sessions. We ask that you only make a small donation of food, water diapers, etc or even a money donation will be accepted!! Now through Friday, September 9th we will collect these items in various locations through South Georgia. We will also be available on Friday afternoon at the STC parking lot in Vidalia to take donations. We have two Trailers ready to load and deliver these goods where they are needed!!! Beauty Tips for your FACE

Never Go to Bed Wearing Makeup
A sure way to get a big, nasty pimple is to go to bed wearing makeup. Use an eye�makeup remover to remove mascara and liner, then wash with a cleanser that removes makeup as well as dirt and oil. Follow with a moisturizer and the appropriate treatments.

Wash away Wrinkles
Gently scrub with a cleanser that contains less than 2% salicylic acid. You will lose the lines with out irritating your skin. Salicylic acid also helps kill the bacteria that cause pimples.

Avoid the Oil Slick
To help control oil, start with clean face, use an oil�controlling lotion and stay away from cream shadows or cream blush. Use an oil-controlling foundation followed by a dusting of loose powder. Use oil�blotting papers or pressed face powder to control shine through out the day.

Exfoliate Dead Skin
Use an exfoliator (a.k.a. face scrub) at least once a week, more often for an oily skin, to remove dead skin and create a polished look. Dry, dead skin doesn't allow for moisture to penetrate as well and makes skin look ashy and dry.

Wear Sunscreen Daily
The best formulas for the face are gel�based, oil�free, and lightweight formulas. Look for a moisturizer and a foundation that include sunscreen. NOTE: if you are going to be in the sun all day, a higher SPF like 30 or 45 is needed to protect your face from the damaging UVA and UVB rays.

Olive Oil - Beauty Secret Tip For Hair
To condition, soften, and moisturized you hair try olive oil. Best applied while you shower. Thoroughly moisten you hair. Massage a hand full or two of olive oil into your hair giving special consideration to the ends for longer hair. In efforts to help out the Hurricane victims, myself and other local Pageant Directors have come together to start a campaign to gather goods needed by these survivors. We are donating free pageant entries to Local Pageants, Tanning, and Hair and Makeup sessions. We ask that you only make a small donation of food, water diapers, etc or even a money donation will be accepted!! Now through Friday, September 9th we will collect these items in various locations through South Georgia. We will also be available on Friday afternoon at the STC parking lot in Vidalia to take donations. We have two Trailers ready to load and deliver these goods where they are needed!!! Everyone that makes a donation of $10 or more, whether it is a money donation or goods, will be put into a drawing to win one of these GREAT items!! Hello to everyone! I am getting things together for those who need the help in LA and MS. If you would like to help in any way please let me know. I have listed below what is needed. What a terrible situation to be in! Children are in shelters with NOTHING. Oh how we need to count our blessings! We truly do not understand what it is like to have nothing. Our fellow brothers and sisters need our help...especially if we are able and capable of doing so. If you would like, I can also accept money which will be spent to complete these kits. Any donation will help, whether it is $5 or $50. You never know, we may need the help in return one day!

Hygiene Kits
2 unbreakable combs (no sharp handles)
4 toothbrushes (packaged)
1 tube of toothpaste (6-8 oz. no pumps)
2 bars of soap (approx. 4-5 oz.)
2 hand towels (15 in. x 25 in.) no dish towels or washcloths
Newborn Kits

1 double receiving blanket
Fabrics: cotton flannel, or light weight fleece
Size: two pieces of fabric that are each between 36 inches square and 45 inches square.
You may also use a medium weight fleece. It needs to be a single layer, 36"x36" with the edges surged.

To make the blanket:

� With right sides facing each other, sew the two pieces of fabric together with a 1/4-inch seam around the edges. Leave a 6-inch opening.
� Turn so right side is out.
� You may also serge two pieces together, no turning needed.
� Baste opening edges and topstitch around the entire blanket for durability.
� Sew a 10-inch square in the center to keep the fabric from shifting.
� A narrow crocheted edge or piping border is acceptable but not required.

4 flat fold (single thickness) cloth diapers - Birdseye Cloth or diaper flannel (100% cotton for both), approx. 25" x 27" (please do not use pre-folded or diposable diapers)
4 diaper safety pins
1 pair booties or baby socks
2 regular-size bars of soap (Ivory� or other non-allergenic brand)
1 newborn layette gown (not footed sleeper)
Size: newborn to 6 months

Fabrics: cotton or knit

No zippers, buttons, or strings

Children's New Clothing
Suggested items: boys' and girls' clothing, including pants, shorts, skirts, shirts, blouses, pajamas, dresses, and underclothing.
Sizes: 2-14 years

Fabrics: durable and washable. Heavy polyester is excellent for boys pants and girls jumpers.

Other Needed Items
� Infant undershirts
� Knitted and crocheted sweaters
� Flat crib sheets 42" x 72"
� Children's pajamas (knit, flannel or cotton)
� Toys: Please request separate guidelines.

School Kit
� 4 pencils (unsharpened)
� 1 box pre-sharpened or unsharpened assorted colored pencils (approx. 7� long, approx. 12 pencils/box)
� 1 pencil sharpener
� 1 pair of blunt-nosed scissors (metal blades)
� Glued or spiral bound notebooks or letter size legal pads, with lined sheets. Include enough notebooks/pads to total approximately 450 sheets (Please do not include more than 6 notebooks/pads). Sheet sizes 8 1/2" x 11", 8" x 10 1/2", 8 1/2" x 11 3/4" are acceptable.
� 1 durable cloth bag made of heavy fabric

Cloth Bag (for School Kit)
� Cut two pieces of fabric for bag 14"x 18", Cut 2 handles 24"x 3.5" (1.5" webbing may be substituted).
� Serge or zigzag all edges of both pieces of bag fabric.
� Put right sides of bag fabric together. Starting at the top of the side seam,(side seam = 18" length), sew around 3 sides of bag (2 long sides, 1 short side). Make sure to backstitch.

Handles
� Zig-zag or serge one long side of each handle.
� With right side out, fold over raw edge and overlap serged edge.
� Stitch lengthwise down center of handle.
� Pin or secure handle in place. Repeat with the other end of the handle on the same side of the bag.
� Repeat on other side of bag.
� After handles are secure, stitch hem of bag, including handles around entire hem.
� Reinforce stitching on handles.
� Place a 3� strip of velcro on inside of bag between handle straps. Sew in place.

First-Aid Items - in their original packaging:
� Ace bandages
� Adhesive bandages, 1 inch wide
� Adhesive tape, 1 inch wide
� Arm splints
� Cotton balls, sterile and non-sterile
� Tongue depressors

Dear Crown Jewel contestants,

I have decided to post-pone Crown Jewel Nationals due to all the problems we are facing from the hurricane.
There is know one who wants to have this pageant more than me, I have a lot of money invested in ads, forms,
postage, etc. However,I feel this is minor compared to the crisis that is going on now, This will affect us all.
Yesterday we had gas today we don't. The evacuees (spelling?) are staying in this area as well. I feel they need the rooms more than
we need a pageant. My heart has lead me to this decision, I hope you understand, We will have Crown Jewel, just not this weekend,
I don't want anyone to be stranded here & I want everyone safe.
Please note that as soon as I can reschedule you will be notified.

The director is so full of herself. She has been posting all over that her numbers are low, well why do you think?Because people are catching on to her COI.Her claims of being more than a pageant is ridiculous. I was talking to several moms last weekend at a pageant who's daughters are reigning royalty and they said Pennie hasn't even sent them anything. They haven't even heard from her about different events and parades.They never got thier magnetic car signs,b'day gifts, etc. The same girls compete every other year, then she makes titles up to give girls she wants to keep in her system.She doesn't have all her queens on her website except a chosen few except for a group picture. Why so selective Pennie? Then she claims to never bash and she has been known to bash her share, I have heard it myself. She lets her best friend help decide the winners, the director and her best friend actually sit at the judges table the whole time of state competition! The judges have the same sheet for all phases of competition and changes are made to scores without initials. So basically they could keep up with who's winning and change scores at anytime during competition. Now is that crazy are what? Don't you think that beauty score sheets should be seperate from casualwear sheets, and photogenic sheets, and etc? Why should anything that has been judged every pass by the judges again? You are a rip off Pennie H! Thats why your numbers stink, people are spreading the word!
