It has been a very interesting time in my life. I am playing a new game where I am taking more responsiblity for my universe.

Tonight, I was out to dinner with my parents and sister. As we were waiting for the check, my mom and I were talking and I could feel her just pouring out that Mom love. I noticed that I started to feel uncomfortable. A moment later, my cell phone rings and I take the call and go outside. I return several minutes later. My Dad is now pissed at me since I took a phone call during dinner. "What was so important that you had to take the call?" he asks.

My first response in my head: Well, the person on the phone needed to ask me something. It is my job to be available.

The realistic response: Oh, you hit an intimacy bump and used the phone call to bail out of it.

Ah.. oh... I get it.
