I'm hanging out with J at a tacqueria on Mission Street. I realize that this is the first time in a very long time its just me with another guy. There is a movie aspect to it almost and I then realize that we are both laughing deep from our bellies.

I have been thinking about my next line for a long time but it sounds so cheesy yet intimate and I don't want to say it. I know it will bring us closer. I take a plunge. "I think its time for us to be better allies". He smiles at me and says he'd like that as well. I realize the sensation in my body at that moment is intimacy and love. I have been holding it in for this particular friend.

Later, we're at a bar and we're debating on a particular minor topic. I think, "we're saying the same thing but looking at it from different angles" I surrender to his viewpoint and let it in. I realize how rich this relationship could be.
