Sounds like watching someone live, duty-bound and in self-enforced piety, according to general consensus and the flow society. A life unenjoyed, that kills the spark of life and personality a little each day. The frustration and pain of watching a vibrant soul turn into an oppressed living ghost. I may be way off, but its what i get at first glance
