Nice! You seem to be off to a nice beginning.

A word of advice:

If it is your intention to start a portrait or pet photography studio of some sort, get yourself an SLR camera with manual controls with a good lens or lenses and also a quality tripod as soon as you can afford it. You will not be able to compete without them. Places like bhphotovideo.com or adorama.com have a great selection of equipment. Adorama also has used stuff.

Also, for a computer, eventually buy a Mac. Apples are graphics based machines and Windows are for text based apps. Like a good SLR and lens, you will find the Mac indispensible for photography.
