Fifteen wire nooses tight around one neck, radiating, the only starburst in the void. Glass eggshells underfoot. If they break, the nooses grow tighter. In the pitch, blades slice the air. Connecting, a little cut, bled a little more. Many walk this place where justice and merit hold no meaning. Many walk in resignation. Few walk in pain and fear with one thought. Freedom.
