The operation was not as succesful as we hoped for. The screws they put in the front, 2 of them, broke and the top two are bent...how the hell did that happen? now at the end of Oct. I will undergo a surgery where they will put 4 huge bolts and two steel rods and then 4 set screws in the back of my neck rendering any hopes of turning my head impossible. The doc said he is addressing the paralysis issue not the pain issue. I have pics of the hardware going in my neck if anyone wants to see what it looks like. A peice of advice for anyone with a doctor suggesting this operation: DO NOT DO IT IF GIVEN AN OPTION!!!!!!!! If there is no alternative then fine but if there is then take the other option. Trust me this is gonna hurt. I am used to pain but when a doctor tells you it is going to hurt then you really got something to look forward to. I am still in the neck brace from a year ago and looks like another year after Oct.
I hope I can still play guitar or anything for that matter after the surgery but the doc says we will have to wait and see. It has been one hell of a ride hasn't it kiddies? I met people here, some are gone now, who i kinda like, one I loved and still do regardless of the situation. You live you learn. Gaurd yourselves closely and remember life changes in the blink of an eye and you never get the warning a blink is coming. Do not think you are indestructuble if you have been meaning to do something with someone or say something it is better to do it now then wait.
