A little taste of the Vampiress who haunted Paradise

This is what I have so far.
I was kind of going back and forth for awhile
between the characters Malcolm Barnes
and Mark Lanier as to what role they would actually play in the story.

I still have some characters to introduce yet
Dee Foster, Ray James, and Sarah Truitt
and for now I am keeping the name of one of the
characters a secret.

Pretty much been writing this for the most part
on the fly.

I had some of it written in a notebook a few pages
I wrote the other day I just typed into the computer
and added a few more lines a little while ago.

Let me know what you think of it so far

The Vampiress who haunted paradise

She had once gambled and frolicked
in the devils playground
now she haunted paradise
She would soon meet her destiny
face to face.
In a vampire of a different sort.
He was a man who hungered for the night
and the full moon.
He was a man who fed off the sexual
energy of his lovers.

She walked in the shadows of the darkness thru the valley of death.
She was of the Clan of Fangs the last of her breed.
She fored the Coven of Woval.
Her name was and is Karana Lavow.
Of the Coven of Woval was another Vampiress Cynthia Vaupil.

At the paradise hotel a police detective was investigating an apparent
homicide. The detective Dieter Kline had seen this all before as a child.
A body ravaged and mauled with bite marks. The bed sheets soaked with blood.
The victim was identified as Miranda Garcia.

Dieter was five years old and about to leave his small town in Germany to a new
life in paradise when he saw this kind of Carnage the 1st time. His Grandfather
told him it was the work of a vampire bent on revenge.
One of his lovers had cheated on him. He was driven to a jealous rage. He killed
the lover and the boyfriend. He drove a stake taht was meant for him thru the
boyfriends heart. The same thing had happened this time as he was investigating
Miranda Garcia's death. Dieter got a call and was told Miranda's boyfriend was dead
with a stake thru his heart. The 2nd victims name was Rex Walker.
Paradise had become a Vampires haven with all the Caves and hidden Caverns in its
mountain region. The news of the murders traveled fast.
World Renowned Vampire hunter Abraham Hawkins
ventured to Paradise.

Dieter Kline had two partners on this case.
His long time partner Derek Forrest and a new detective named Tanya Price
a vivacious and sensual beauty who was also very hard nosed.
Abraham Hawkins brought his lover Vanessa Duckworth who was also a vampire expert
with him.

Paradise had been a quiet Haven for Vampires for many years.
Now it was turning into a hunting ground and the vampires were the hunted.
Karana Lavow and Cynthia Vaupil began their own investigation into these dispicable
crimes. They had been committed by a Rogue Vampire who was not part of any Clan or
Coven.

Both Karana and Cynthia wanted to know the identity of this mysterious man
who fed off the sexual energy of his lovers. They wondered if he could be
some other species of Vampire, a kindred Spirit who craved the energy of his lovers,
instead of their blood.
Though they did not know of him yet. His name was Mark Lanier.
He hung out after midnight when the moon was full down by the Paradise hotel Pool.
He was joined by his long time friend Malcolm Barnes on these nights.
Mark Lanier and Malcolm Barnes tended to keep a low profile. They had many business
ventures and were two very creative souls.
