Hey Darkling.

Uncle Max doesn't really know beans, but I'm glad my thoughts could help you. You might have something there about letting go and going deeper into the whirlpool...

Did you ever see the film "The 13th Warrior"? I'm sure you have.. There was a scene where the Vikings were chased deep into a cave after killing the Mother/Leader of this killer tribe. When the Vikings reached the end of the cave and there was nothing but a deep running pool of water. The warriors of the Mother's tribe were closing and Buliwyf, the leader of the Viking says gravely: " A hard fight to get clear of this place." However, Antonio Banderas suggests a dive into the water, because he thinks he hears surf - a possible escape. They all agree to try. Just before Antonio takes a deep breath to follow the others out, Herger, a small energetic Viking fighter says to him: " At least we'll know that if they don't follow us, it's too far to swim Ha ha!!"

What struck me about that scene is the thought of how many people would really take the chance and dive? To stay in that bad situation, they all would have surely died. To dive seemed a path to death also... just a slim chance of deliverance.

Ya gotta Herger thoughout that whole movie....

Let me know what your next adventure brings, OK?
