Ok well guess I contribute to this one. Did you know that most of these women were either wise women of the villages or trained in herbalism and competition for the local doctor? Or men were attracted to her and the local jealous women would accuse her of casting a spell to attract that males attention. Having looks back in those days could sadly cost you your life. Let along caring about the local villages.
