Wrong street and this was not a matter of lighting, there were kids sitting under a lamp post. This is however a matter of careless neglect upon the driver and reckless driving. As far as I am concern, this situation was aspirated by the person who was driving through two very aggressive actions after the fact.
As far as I am concern what was normally a very bad accident that could have been worked out peacefully, has become a matter a legal battle.
As to the degree of this persons' guilt, I plan to keep this to myself. Personally, I have no use of cowards, and this person actions has pointed to the fact after the accident that he is just that. Shit happens, doesn't matter if one is considered a good person or not, what does matter is showing strength and grace, and standing up for what is right. When we get behind the wheel of our cars, we need to be careful of others not just for ourselves. I know that had it been me driving, I would not have chosen to drive in the state he had chosen to drive in, nor would I have been so cold and heartless to disgard a human life like this person chose to do. In the past, anyone who had befallen upon my hand deserved it.

This person's guilt is not up for discussion, things are what they are, period.

I'm sorry to hear about your mom, hope all goes well.
