Subject: Anyone here have any Media Contacts???

I have already tried some local media contacts here by Email. There are some situations going on where I work that only the media can shed some light on. I work with handicapped kids as a school bus aide, and basically one of the problems is the Right to Privacy Law, and a few other things going on that truthfully are bullshit.

WIth the right to privacy law, a teacher is allowed and told the scope of a childs handicap or disability such as if they have seizures and what special help they need.
all we get is a sheet of paper a request for transportation that lists none of this just basically the words MH, for Mentally or Multi Handicapped.
We don't know unless a teacher, school aide, or parent volunteers this information to us.
One of the big problems I have is not knowing if a kid might have seizures. Another major problem I am trying to get addressed which might be a very unique situation is we are transporting a child who cannot walk. He is not in a wheelchair. We are expected when he is brought out to the bus to carry him up the bus stairs and put him in a car seat. Then carry him back off and hand him either to a teacher, his parents, or put him in a stroller.
This was something that was just told to us recently. Before the parent or school aide was doing this.
That is just the tip of the iceberg.
