Vysaere lay, unmoving, against the wall where she was thrown, though she watched Kurai's rebellion with a small smile on her face. She reached down to toy with her dagger...then cursed colorfully upon recalling that their weapons had been confiscated. "We tripped a mage trap," she said emotionlessly, eyes closed. "That was rather careless, wasn't it?" Her tone of voice was carefully measured, neutral, to hide what she was actually feeling. But when her eyes snapped open, they burned with a dreadful terror and desperation which made all of it clear. "You know we're wanted fugitives, don't you?" she whispered harshly. The female catling shivered violently, longing quite inexplicably for her partner's arms. Kurai's face, however, seemed quizzical, not understanding the reason for her fear. "Haven't you seen the notices plastered on buildings in the city? We just killed the most powerful man in --- (insert name of city here), but we're responsible for so many other crimes. They'll want to know who employed us, Kurai. We're going to be tortured." Her maddened gaze searched the implacable stone on the opposite wall. "I've been through it before...all of it, and it's like nothing you've ever endured. We'll tell the guards everything. It doesn't matter of course to me, whether or not they know. But they won't believe us, and they won't stop." She was shaking as memories assaulted her.

OOC: Tell me whether or not this is the right reaction. I thought she could have taken it with cool, 'hey, it's inevitable-ness,' or be scared. I picked the latter just 'cause it's more fun. But...Vysaere is also scarred from the previous torture -- I mean physically, she has scars, though there's emotional scarring too -- so you can notice them if you want.
