Bernard Clyde Simmons

NATCHEZ - Bernard Clyde Simmons, 73, of Natchez, died Saturday, Feb. 12, 2005, at his residence.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Laird Funeral Home Union Street chapel with the Revs. James Johnson, Aaron McGuffie and Terry Robinson officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery under the direction of the funeral home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Simmons was born Oct. 1, 1931, in Magnolia, the son of Clyde Franklin and Golda Chloe McGeehee Simmons.
He graduated from Natchez High School in 1949. Mr. Simmons served in the United State Air Force in Germany during the Korean Conflict. He was employed by BellSouth for 32 years. He was a member of Andrew Jackson Masonic Lodge. He was a Mason, Master Mason and Shriner.
Survivors include his children, Stacy Kenner and her husband, Randy, Bryne Simmons and his wife, Tanya, and Patrick Byron Simmons, all of Brandon, Donna Simmons Germany of Natchez and Anna Lambdin and her husband, Clark, both of Montgomery, Texas; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and -nephews; and his brothers and sisters, Ivy Lee Robinson of Kentwood, La., Jeanette Maxey and her husband, William, and Patsy Dillon and her husband, Edgar, all of Vidalia, Percy Simmons and his wife, Sally, and Reginald Simmons and his wife, Shirley, both of Natchez, Sidney Simmons of Boliver, La., and Iris Kay Walker and her husband, Danny, both of Amite, La.
Pallbearers will be Chad E. Germany, Brad S. Germany, Christopher Doster, Marc Lomas, Paul Dillon and Kevin Perrin.
I worked with BC in Natchez toll. He was an ok guy and would help you if you needed help.
