William D. 'Bo' Nunley

CARROLLTON - Services for William D. "Bo" Nunley, 78, of Carrollton, who died of cancer Saturday, Sept. 18, 2004, at Mississippi State Veterans Nursing Home in Kosciusko, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Mount Pisgah Baptist Church in Carroll County.

For 35 years, Mr. Nunley was employed by BellSouth, where he did toll test board work. He was a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne during World War II, where he served in Japan. He was a member of Telephone Pioneers of America, the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a member of Mount Pisgah Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Roberts Nunley.

He is survived by a son, William H. "Bill" Roberts of Pittsburgh, Pa.; two sisters, Betty Johnston and Juanita McCracken, both of Carrollton; one brother, Henry H. Nunley of Carrollton; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The Rev. Lanny Haley will officiate at the services.

Lee Funeral Home in Winona is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Special Olympics or the March of Dimes.
