Subject: Apple nut chocolate cake....

Lately many things have not been going my way. Some of the things were biggies but most were the little things that bug me like paper cuts on the fingers. Last December, I bought a nice kinda luxury spacious condo. However, it is a fixer upper. A few weeks after buying my home I fracture my right side of my pelvis in three place by T-boning a deer on by bicycle on Christmas morning in the dark. Doing this just in time for my fixer upper. My once estrange son cost me all my fixer upper money and furniture money. This afternoon, I finished my first major repair job. I have done little things, but this the first big one. My master bedroom bathroom sink was stopped up some. I ended up taking loose some piping and 'snaked' out the pipe behind the wall. Afterwards, I could not get the pop up drain directly connected to the sink below to stop leaking. When, I got up in there to replace the drain, I found out it was not the drain but the metal basin was rotted out with little holes. I went up to "Lowell's" and bought a more expensive porcelain basin with decorative roping on the perimeter of the basin. It was the only one that would fit. I really like it though; it looks so great. A year from now, I will not care I spent $40 more for it. There were several quirks with the job. I had to make a few trips to the hardware store. I had to mix match old parts and new parts and so on. Before I start such a job, I get so darn anxious. I was brainwashed when a kid that I would never be able to do anything right. I figure I will screw up somehow and cause damage that I just can't afford to have repaired. This afternoon, I turned on the water and everything worked just fine: no leaks and the water drains lick idée fast. So very cool. A plumper would have charge at least a $150 to $200. What a good feeling! Learning to cope with bad feelings let me experience good feeling. So very cool!

I just finished off three apple nut chocolate cake squares and yummy oatmeal cookie along with a mug of specialty coffee… a little self-congratulation party.

Nap time! Thanks for listening.

RICHARD
