Subject: Does anyone else take pain meds... new one for me...

Ultram: tramadol HCL 50 mg

Because of my medical condition I am aging significantly faster than if I did not have it. Docs have diagnosed that my degenerative disease has advanced much and my pain level has increased much. The pain meds I have been taking were not catching the new pain. I have started a new one,
<span style="font: 500 13pt griffon"><i>"Ultram: tramadol HCL" </i></span>50 mg 4xs a day as needed.

I wonder… I have heard it said that pleasure is the albescence of pain. This morning was the first morning that I got up feeling okay. I was feeling kinda up actually. It was nice not feeling the too much pain of first putting weight on my hips and straightening up. It was nice to be able to sleep on my side a bit longer. It was nice not to feel the pain of first moving (getting out of my car) after sitting still in the bucket seat for an hour.

It is another narcotic that I will have to strictly manage so as not to make less effective pain killer with the body progressively wanting more.

Pain sure lets me know that I am alive! The moments that I do have less pain, moments of fun as with biking and walking, the lake park, the brief happy interactions with people, and few other things seem to have an added pleasant flavor to them because the knowing of pain.

Thanks for listening,
RICHARD
