Hi Rhonda,

I didn't do anything for Christmas. Matt went to my brother's house to watch the football game. They are all big Dallas Cowboy fans. I was sick anyway.

New Years Eve, I met Bill at the theater for an early matinee and then I stopped by my mom's house for a little while. My sister was there. Didn't stay long. Came home, watched the ball drop on tv and went to bed because I had to work today.

The holidays depress the hell out of me because I don't have the family I wanted. I have Matt but he's grown now and usually has other plans on Christmas Day. I don't have a partner or spouse so there's no one to plan anything with. Most of my family doesn't celebrate holidays because of their religion so I never know what to do with myself this time of year. I'm just glad it's over.

I understand how you feel though. It's not a good time for most people who suffer with depression.

Now we just have to get through Valentine's Day. That's another rough one for me. Just a big fat reminder that there is no special someone in my life who loves me that way.

Most of the time I'm ok with being single but there are times (like holidays) when it makes me wonder what is wrong with me that no one wants to be with me. I guess I could find someone but I'm not willing to settle just for the sake of being in a relationship so I keep waiting and hoping that someday I'll meet Mr. Right.

Well, I hope you are feeling better and I hope you have a happy new year.

Love,
Sandy
