Good for you!! I'm a firm believer that we all need to do something nice for ourselves sometimes. It's easy for us to do things or splurge on our kids but we seem to feel guilty to do something nice for us.

I'm glad you treated yourself.

For so long I scrimped and saved and felt like I couldn't do anything for me. I changed jobs recently and went to work for my brother. He's paying me a little more than I made at the last place. So... I decided that once a week, when I have someone to go with me, I'm going to go out and have a nice meal and a drink. Somewhere like Outback or Longhorn. I'm having prime rib if I want it and a margarita or two if I'm in the mood. And I'm not going to feel guilty about it..even if my mother is sitting right there telling me she wouldn't spend that kind of money on a margarita or steak. That's fine. She doesn't have to. She can be scrooge if she wants to, but not me. If I can drag myself to work every day, work like a dog, pay all these bills by myself, help Matt out by myself (because his dad is too sorry), I can take a little portion of my check and go out and have a drink and a good meal with a friend. That's something I look forward to all week.

Anyway, enjoy your purchases. You do deserve them.
