Like you, I don't trust organizations like that...it seems their budget reports more on Admin fees than on helping.

I do my part with the Salvation Army...as they don't close their doors to anyone.

I also, have been checking "Craigs List" in the wanted section, to donate things we have...to those in need. This month, it was blankets and sheets to a man who is on disability, who has taken in people to help out, in his one bedroom apartment...he gives them his couch...but he needed extra bedding...

I am also doing my bit for the Childrens hospital...by transferring movies from DVD to VHS...I am thinking that Lorne and I should just buy the hospital radiology department a DVD player...because all the kids movies...are on DVD now...

I know...we are all on limited income...us with just one, most struggling from one pay day to another...but like you, I figure, one less trip to the liquor store...can go into the Salvation Army Kettle...or mailed to them..or dropped off to their stores...I also, check out all the thrift shops in my area...for clothes and stuff, I can use...before looking in the department stores...that way, I recycle...a good product and help them with their cause.

I am proud of you sweetie...Hugs
RHonda
