I'm glad you had a nice Christmas with your family. And you got to spend time with your son. We are having a bare bones Christmas this year...we didn't even put up a tree. It's been a horrible year for us, and I am just not up to all the Christmas hoopla. I am going to Midnight Mass on Christmas eve, that will be my Christmas, and my inlaws are having a potluck/brunch at noon. I like how my inlaws do Christmas....no muss, no fuss, everyone bring something, and bring presents for the kids only. My father in law in the past makes the best damn chili I have ever had. I always request the chili every year.

This will be the first time in 41 years that I don't spend time with my parents. Our huge fight at Thanksgiving killed any chance of Christmas. This makes me sad, and I pray about it all the time.....I am always the one to forgive first (but never forget). My mom said some horrible things to me, and to Sarah and about Mike that I can't forgive this time. So we are making up our own Christmas by giving to our adopt a family, random acts of kindness, and a simple, yet meaningful time with Mikes family. Now that the criminal case is over, maybe I can settle down enough to enjoy myself.

But......the Christmas music can stop any time now. LOL

Love, Mikki
