Subject: defensive mechinisms...

I signed all the closing documents yesterday for my condo. The documents are overnighted to the holding bank in Rhode Island then back on Monday and I am officially a home owner. My broker and mortgage guy asked if I was yet excited. They did not understand at first how I could not be aware of being excited. I ended up telling them that I did have a mental illness. The reaction of my broker testified to the stigma mental illness. My little body factories that produce the natural chemicals that help me cope with stress have burnt out. Thus, I need artificial chemicals to replace them. In addition, my over blown defensive mechanism just won’t allow me to trust anything so enjoyable. It is not something that I can just turn off. However, this morning I am in a good mood. I think the excitement is starting to ooze out.
