I get it. How frustrating and ugly. I'm so sorry that your people had to endure such bigotry. Not too long ago I was the recipient of a kind of bigotry. Also, having depression and having a child with "differences" aligns me with similar feelings. Not to the extent that your family and ancestors have, surely.
