Date Posted: Friday, February 11, 02:08:06pmPST i love krishnamurtis teaching, as well as eckhart tolle, and have found both have been beneficial. there are areas where their teaching conflict, and i wondered if anybody with more clarity would want to respond on it. both have written about watching your thoughts, being aware of your reactions, however, tolle, as well as many others, states that when you watch a thought, you are aware of your thought being there, and here you are watching it(you are separate from your thought) but krishnamurti states that division is the problem, that you are your thoughts. i also wonder what he would say about "being in the body", is it another technique requiring concentration, just as mantras and other techniques that krishnamurti warned us about? as far as that goes, isnt watching your thoughts(inquiry) a technique as well? i know the contradiction may all be in my head, but could anybody clarify? also, i have used "being in the body" to stay present and focused, but have noticed headaches and spaciness always seem to come in the evening if i do it all day. has anybody experienced this?
