Subject: PL/SQL procedures

Hello everyone,

i need to know how i can create a PL/SQL procedure without using INSERT INTO. for instance, if i have the following SQL query:

------------------------------------------------------------ -------

SQL>SELECT address

SQL>FROM employee;

------------------------------------------------------------ -------

And if i want to perform the same SQL query in PL/SQL i need to write a code like:

SQL>CREATE OR REPLACE (procedure name) IS

2 BEGIN

3 SELECT address FROM employee

4 COMMIT;

5 END (procedure name);

6 /

Warning: Procedure created with compilation errors.

SQL> show errors;
Errors for PROCEDURE PROCS:

LINE/COL ERROR

3/2 PLS-00428: an INTO clause is expected in this SELECT statement
