I liked it! I initially thought it was a little odd how they were focusing so strongly on the biological grandmother's doting over her daughter, but of course, I eventually realized why they did it. They never add those details without a reason. The flashback sequence was heartbreaking.
It's great to have Grissom back, and I thoroughly enjoyed the B plot. Loved the triumphant expression on Gil's face as he exited the courtroom after nailing the crooked entomologist (and, of course, the suit he was wearing made my entire evening!). "I'm fine, thanks." Boy, are you ever! *grin*
What did y'all think? Did you enjoy it? Was it, in your mind, a sweeps-worthy episode?

First I liked it, second I dont think it was really sweeps worthy and here is why....I figured out it was the grandmother as soon as I saw her fawning all over her daughter. I did think the flashback scene was hard to watch...that little baby watching his mom be murderd and her pleading and the fear was so real. I enjoyed Gris in his storyline and the suit too! I agree that it wasn't sweeps worthy. It wasn't the keep you on the edge of your seat, wondering who dunnit kind of show. I was interrupted by the kids getting up more than once though. -- shippermom, 10:48:38 11/05/05 Sat [1]

I have to admit what kept my interest the most was the B story line with Grissom. I was trying hard to figure out how he was going to get the evil entomologist because it seemed everything about the experiment was legit! I am glad this case didn't center around some freaky, 'how-the-heck-can-you-do-that", sex crime. We seemed overloaded with those at first, but now they've backed off.
