Subject: Impressionistic Question(s)

In the coming Corinthian Conflict, are we to be the First U.S. Inf. (Bully Boys of the Siege train?) If so would we be C Company for Robinette and Cos. A & H for Powell? Should we lay in the hat/cap brass for these impressions?
(Same question applies if we are to be someone else.)
As for uniformity, Caps & Sacks or Hats & Frocks or Caps and Frocks.
When accounts tell of our people resorting to "our Old Muskets" are they being factual or poetical?
What should our secondary weaponry be for Siege Train soldiers? Rifle-muskets? Muskets? Mix and Match?
Should not all our diving tools make the march to Corinth. SHOVELS AND SPADES of the "D" and split-shaft "V" handle would both be correct. Mattocks and picks would also be just the things for proving up our position on College Hill (or they'd be good to shoulder and march about without doing a lick of real work.

Question for general discussion:
When we trudged those 20 (dusty) miles down from Pittsburgh Landing to Corinth, Hillock had the most powerful military force on the American Continents. Why the devil didn't we walk over to Vicksburg and pluck it easier than pinching duds in a Gooseberry Lay?
