The Greyhound has now become a private residence. A few years back now. Indeed part of the land that used to be the Greyhound garden has also been sold off and a new house built on it . I think the people who bought the old pub and converted it to the private house just decided to cash in on excess land, and who can blame them.
Its a shame the pub has closed. I know there was a long campaign to keep the pub open but it was clearly not a vaible proposition and in addition the new owners clearly saw its greater potential as a private residence and not a licenced premise.
