Hello, my name is Luis A. Colón. I'm a writer/producer, and president of Unlawful Justice Film Partners,LLC. I am in the process of packaging and seeking financing for our current feature film project entitled "Unlawful Justice". The screenplay was recently an official selection for the 2009 Beverly Hills Film Festival.

Logline/summary of project:
Two men plagued by nightmares, an ATF Agent trying to reconcile with his son, and a vicious criminal with a secret pass, all learn that sometimes -- crossing the line is the only option.

I have formed Unlawful Justice Film Partners, LLC (the production company which will serve as the financing vehicle for the project), and the business plan is ready for review. My attorney has drafted the Private Placement Memorandum for investors.

With the film industry being a high risk industry, we are unable to accept any conventional loans in which we need to make any annual or monthly payments, since the funds we secured will be utilize for the production of the project. We are seeking certain investors who are willing to share in the potential future profits of the project.

We're mainly interested in these types of funding:

Equity Funding (Venture Capital, Angel, Private Equity, etc.)

The funds will primarily be used for the four major stages in film production; such as:
Development
Pre-Production
Production
Post Production

The project was originally set to be based in New York City; however, after discovering that the New York Film Tax Credit has and/or will be depleted soon, we have decided to change the film's location setting to Puerto Rico, where they offer 40% tax credit. Under the Puerto Rico tax credit the production will get back 40% of qualified expenses at the completion of the film project, which can be distributed to the investors.

If you are interested to learn more about Puerto Ricos's 40% tax credit, please feel free to visit the following link below: http://www.puertoricofilm.com/en/htdocs/incentives/tax_credit.php

I have a director interested in the project who has signed a LOI. Mr. Keusch is a member of the DGA and DGC guild who has numerous credits under his belt, which includes but not limited to three Steven Seagal films: "Flight of Fury", "Attack Force", and "Shadow Man".

I have also stunt performer who has a long list of professional credits. He has worked on such films as: "The Departed", "Manchurian Candidate", "Freedomland", "I am Legend", and "The Bourne Ultimatum". He is interested in participating on "Unlawful Justice" as the stunt coordinator for the project.

I have recently received a Letter of Interest from a talented Latino actor, singer who is interested in participating on the project. He is well known in the Latino community, which could be helpful when selling the film to the untapped growing Latino market.

In addition, I have been in discussion with a production company, which has numerous number of film credits in their library. They are willing to track the progress of the project and help secure some financing depending on the following criteria: that I get at least 30% financing in place first, get at least one talent interested/attached to the project, and a credible sales agent/distributor interested in the project.

I also have a letter of interest from a distribution company that is interested in reviewing the project when it's done for possible distribution.

If you would like more information on the project, please visit the project's website at the following link: www.unlawfuljusticethemovie.com where you can view the executive summary for the project.

A little about myself, I have been a freelance filmmaker for over 10 years, mainly working as grip/electric on numerous independent films. My first feature is currently in the development stages, and we hope to begin production soon.
