You know, Mr.C., everyone loved John Peel but I still have memories of one Reading Festival some years (perhaps 10) ago when he behaved appallingly towards the hard-pressed bar staff in the Holiday Inn. The full "do you realise who I am?" routine much beloved of celebs. I went off him at that point.
