Subject: Player of the season: Ryan Strudwick

An interesting choice. Less nonsensical than the supporters' vote. Bob Casey got the players' vote. One of those seasons when it looks like everyone has a different opinion.

My top 6 would be:
1) Sacks
2) Michael
3) OSheas
4) Tofty
5) Darren
6) Strudders

Anyone know how Strudders was voted, and by whom - I didn't see any voting option on the Offy Site. It seems a more bizarre choice than Spud, and I reckon it was Strudders' worst season he's played for us.

Sacks was miles ahead, IMHO, of anyone else.

Michael did a lot to help the team but if you're voting him second then it can only mean that there was a massive gulf between O'Sackey and the rest. When Michael learns that the idea is to pass the ball now and then perhaps he'll warrant some kind of recognition but there were many times this year when a pass or offload might have resulted in a try. Whether or not this would have got us a wildcard place is impossible to say but I wouldn't bet against it.
