That's a good question... especially considering our encounters with Mr. Rambo at Chickamauga last fall.

The obvious answer is that it's not exactly a WIG effort (that being the weekend before up at Shaker Village); and what effort is being made for Franklin is by an ad hoc effort to put together two company-sized units. Most look like they're opting to sign on with the AoP, since you're pretty well guaranteed a good experience with that group; the fellows opting for gray had a former alliance with the old Breckinridge Battalion, and are falling in with a few other friends from there.

And to be frank, this whole base-camp-commute-&-link-up-in-the-morning arrangement has me more than a little leery of the deal on the southern side and the ability to make that happen without a sizable Charlie Foxtrot...

If I had my druthers, it's a dead whale or a stove boat ;-)
