Subject: Thanks General!

The measure of success of things you can control is the best way to gauge how things go at events. We were very successful at Franklin. The staff delivered on their promise to create a unique thing for a national event - an entire brigade in the field living out of their knapsacks.

We looked like an army brigade, we realized and solved the problems of being an army brigade and we fought the battles like an army brigade. Not a company, not a battalion but a brigade.

The things we cannot control often don't go well and Franklin was no exception. The whole world knows about those however and Corinth will no doubt provide a showcase for improvements. Not the least of which will be a much reduced list of vendors of a much higher quality level.

That is leadership folks - when instead of decrying sutlers who make shoddy goods and the appearance of folks who buy from them, you actually step up and eliminate those sutlers from the invite list. This supports the troops, the duty of a good commander. Takes guts...but our boss and his boss (Mike Moore) have guts and vision.

Lead on Gen Griffin...we are beside you.
