In reply to: Ayrist 's message, "Troubles..." on 16:06:13 10/11/02 Fri

Dart blinks and knods his acknowledgement to the black Korat, bending down to pick up the soaking-wet cloth in the bucket and stopping for a moment to let the supposedly-healing juice run down his arm as he watched it. He'd never been fond of healing water, or healer nuts, for that measure, but this was odd. He had word of a Korat... mate of the Junior Governor of the planet upon Dart's pledge of alliegiance was knotted, and he was doubting the veracity of Ayrist's words. Being a trusting crett, usually he'd have no problem with washing his friend's wounds... but why was this different? Dart frowned and dipped the now-waterless cloth back into the bucket and held it in one handpaw while looking for injuries with the other. Surprisingly, there were no open wounds... just an old healed scab on the crown of her head. Dart wrinkled his nose. Since when had that happened? He shrugged it off- Katrina was known for getting into innumerous scrapes and silppery situations, it's no wonder she got a bop on the head for it- and sponged down the scabbed area thoroughly, knowing Kat would practically kill him for messing with her mane-hair. And getting it wet, no less. Oh well. She should thank him for not leaving her out to die in the Expanse, where who knows what could get to her, be it schrapnel or scavenging beasties.

Katrina's eyelids fluttered minutely as pain suddenly wracked her barely-conscious body. Moaning, she tries to roll over but finds the restraining straps Dart tied over her to be in her way. Instinctively she panicks at the sensation of not being able to move, causing the hovermat to wobble unsteadily while Dart growled at her to calm down and tried to stop her from tipping the whole thing over. The added noise and sensation of hands grabbing her sent new anger into her body, and finally she flipped the hovermat over and landed on her face, still strapped very securely onto the board. Finally she came to her senses and let out a high-pitched snarl as the whole ordeal suddenly came into focus. Wet hair, throbbing body, sand up her nose and in her mouth, behind her eyelids and engrained into her fur. Muttering inaudible threats underneath her breath as Dart worked to set her free, she finally was able to stand up and glare at her friend. "What the btsa was that for? And why is my hair wet, you watee'd idiot! I should have you flogged for that, overreacting frante. Geez! She poked his tan-furred chest with the blunt overcurve of a finger-claw. "Next time, why don't you just pitch a bucket of water over my head, instead of making a big deal out... of..." Her voice trails off as she notices the group of working cretts, many of whom probably would be interrupted by her outburst. Visibly cringing, she muttered out of the side of her mouth "Oh, diamen. Dart, do me a favor and get me out of here."
