The siblings had spent most of the battle up in their trees, watching dutifully. Now that the war was over- or at least on hold- there was no need of their guarding. Somewhat at a loss for what to do, both remained in their lofty perches for a while as everyone else crowded around.

Anrik eyed the den with some curiosity, wondering what would be so exciting that it commanded the attention of all in the area. When nothing emerged from the den she lifted her slim ebony shoulders in a Koratian shrug, dismissing whatever was happening down there from her mind.
Her amber eyes drifted idly across the area, looking for anything interesting that might concern her. What she saw next definitely excited her, but not quite in the way she had wished. The femme literally dropped out of the tree, with no regard for her own safety, and landed running at top speed. “Kleeeey!” She howled, sensing that something important was going on. She winced visibly as thunder clapped; ringing in her sensitive ears, but it merely gave her incentive to drive her legs to new speeds. Her howl faded to a whimper as Kley was sucked into the summoned portal, and the youngster slowed to a trot, bladed tail tucked up under her belly, ears pinned back. “No, Kley,” The Korat murmured futilely.
But for now there were other things to attend to, such as the traumatized Ban. Anrik could not help but giggle slightly at the white cub’s onslaught, and she makes no attempt to pry Yoshi off of the striped. After all, Ban could use something to distract him from Kley’s abrupt departure. Instead, she gently nudged him, a small smile growing on her muzzle. “C’mon, Ban, Kley’ll come back as soon as she can,” If she can, the cub added mentally, then firmly pushed that thought away, “And for now, I think someone wants to play.”

Trihek had dozed off in his tree, legs and tail wrapped securely around the thick branch he had selected as his perch. He was startled awake by the sudden thunderclap, and nearly fell out tree. His red head whipped around frantically, trying to locate the sound of the noise. The sky had been clear just a little while earlier…But no, it was a Portal. And it was Kley leaping through it. With a wordless howl, the young Korat raced down the tree trunk and fairly flew towards the vanishing portal. Because his tree was much closer to Ban and Kley than Anrik’s had been, he reached the cowering Banretin by only the second thunderclap. For a moment he stood there silently, amber eyes staring at the spot Kley had occupied only moments before.
Then the red was forced into action when he was nearly bowled into by a wobbling ball of ivory fur. Yelping in surprise, Trihek shot out of Yoshi’s way, then was torn between amusement and annoyance as the tiny cub proceeded to chew on his friend’s ear. Amusement won, and he began to shake with laughter. “Were we like that when we were that big?” He queried his twin, who grinned and nodded. “Much worse, actually!”
