Subject: AZN NABORR (*Naborr son) TURNS 30

AZH NABORR, the top siring son of the great *Naborr (in number of foals sired) turns 30 years old today!!!!!!!!!!! He has sired winners in the show ring and the race track and European National Champions.

I will never forget the afternoom 10 years ago-October- when I got a frantic call from my friend Linda Moss (Equus Rescue) saying that the entire (breeders) herd was at the killers and that Azh Naborr was there. She knew I had previously taken in another older *Naborr son (The Phoenician+++-- who was going to be destroyed simply because he went sterile and his owners no longer wanted to support him).

I immediately began a game of phone tag with the killer buyer. By late the next morning I was given a price. By the time I actually spoke to him on the phone he knew he had something special and backed out of our deal. Never one to say no I bugged him insessantly. Finally after 6 weeks and his other buyer falling through he called me and said "come get the horse".

I had never seen Azh when he was younger. Although I utilized the *Naborr lines I honestly felt he had enough babies running around the San Fernando Valley area and used the services of The Phonenician+++ instead.

WOW WAS I IMPRESSED. He is a huge horse of substantial bone, incredible conformation and impeccable character. I brought him home to live out his life. He was suffering from a terrible summer sore on his genitals that I had to deal with.

I bred him sparingly in the years I have had him and last year his last two foals were born.

He is now officially retired from stud. He has given me my beloved TWIN Hannoverian cross foals who are 6 this year, and a Hannoverian cross Stallion who is going to set the dressage and sport horse world on fire.

I love you AZH and am so happy you have spent these last 10 years with me. I am looking forward to many more.

He is a chilling reminder that even the most famous of horses is not safe from the cruelty and callousness of humans.

Please go visit my web page and see the photo Lynne Glazer took of him last year, the day after his 29th birthday.
