Subject: The Passing of KAPURNIKA (*Naborr x Kirsten by *Kirkor)

Today our dear *Naborr daughter KAPURNIKA (*Naborr x Kirsten by *Kirkor) "Nicki" was humanely put to sleep. January 26, 1975 - May 12, 2005.

Nicki was just out running with her 28 year old sister also a *Naborr daughter... TC FANCI FREE (*Naborr x *Pallada by Comet ) yesterday during her turnout time in good health and excellent weight. You would never guess she was 30 yrs old..even the Vet would always comment on how young she looked & acted.

Unfortunatly today she suffered a stroke which left her paralyzed and the decision was made to allow her to leave us. She was not in pain and everyone here at the farm was with her in the barn as she laid with her head in my lap as she was humanely let go. The vet allowed her the ability to leave us in the dignity and grace that she entered our lives. We have pictures of her on our website www.RiciglianoFarms.com as a tribute to her.

Her sister TC Fanci Free and my mare were allowed to say their goodbyes so TC Fanci Free, who was her constant companion for many many years, would be ok. TC Fanci Free is still in excellent condition and looks like a teenager, a tribute to the precious *Naborr blood. TC was born in 1977.

Goodnight sweet "Nicki" we will all miss you.

I am so very very sad to read of the passing of Kapurnika.

How lucky you were to have her and she you.

Take solace in the time you had with her.

I have been blessed with three *Naborr children in my life, and am fortunate to still have one of them. They are or were such treasures.

Dear Dorann,
Thank you for your codolences. We are very fortunate to have had Kapurnika grace our farm. Her sister TC Fanci Free (*Naborr x *Palada) is still with us and is doing well so we are fortunate to still feel the presence of Kapurnika with her sister here. It is sad, but we are happy to have been able to have known her.

So sorry to hear of your loss.
I own Kool Mistress who is a Naborr descendant. I was checking this site looking for links to my mare's parentage. I was very surprised (and saddened) to see Kapurnika who is my mare's dam. Kapurnika and a Canadian stallion Zloty I produced Kool Mistress June 27, 1997. We reside in British Columbia, Canada.
