Angel 6x03

TEASER

Establishing shot: Illyria�s bookstore. Day. The entire outside has now been painted Illyria blue and the door is red. A sign outside reads �Illyria Books � A Godly service to occult literature and artefacts�

Inside the gang is sitting around. Illyria is currently sporting her more human form like the one she changed into in 6x02 �Mind over Matters�. There are a few customers browsing, Illyria is finishing a transaction.

ILLYRIA
I hope you enjoy servicing yourself with this product.

The lady gives Illyria a look and heads off.

ANGEL
I think you mean �I hope this serves you well��or �enjoy� or something else�

ILLYRIA
I have a grasp on your language. I know what I said and I said it because it was my intention. No other reason.

ANDREW
What�d she buy?

ILLYRIA
The servicer of Duluthith. It is used for such a purpose.

ANDREW
Wow. Ancient artefacts are fun.

SPIKE
How much was it?

ILLYRIA
One hundred and seventy five dollars.

SPIKE
You can get better for cheaper.

ANGEL
And you�d know this by personal experience?

SPIKE

ANGEL

ANDREW

ILLYRIA
This discussion is as annoying as it is pointless.

ANGEL

ANDREW

SPIKE

ANGEL
We so have too much time on our hands.

SPIKE

ANGEL
Hey! I have a girlfriend.

SPIKE
What�s next for you two? Big date? Cinema? You show up holding a gift-wrapped box of marrowbone jelly?

A male customer approaches the counter.

CUSTOMER
Um, hi. Do you carry Johnson�s compendium on Parallel Universe theory?

ILLYRIA
Yes, but I can spare you the bother. It�s true except that he completely overlooks the concept of dimensional �keys�. Energy beings.

SPIKE
Blue, I�m pretty sure if he asked for the book he wants to pay for it.

ILLYRIA

ANDREW
And it is only two nights a week.

ANGEL
Whose side are you on? I thought you hated this too.

ANDREW
Yeah but Anne�s pretty. She bought me a cookie.

ANGEL
This is frustrating. I need to hit something. Bring on the night.

WOMAN�S VOICE
Oh, I can help you with that one.

Angel and Spike look up.

WOMAN/WILLOW
I have a problem. And Spike�s alive. Hi.

SPIKE
Hi.
