Every one of the old great characters are deadbeat losers or like Laura--catatonic. There's no wonder there is no romance on this show, in Guza's mind, apparently having a great love means you will abandon your children.

Maybe he just hates love in general. Every pairing that has any potential is decimated on this show.

At least they are showing Michael to be a future serial killer that you know he would become with Carly/Sonny as parents.
