A twist of fate throws Elizabeth and Jason together this week on GH – right after she learns about Lucky’s romp with Sam.
“Lucky comes home and Elizabeth can read the look on his face,” sighs Rebecca Herbst. “She knows that he and Sam have been together. Lucky ends up confessing, but Elizabeth’s attitude is, ‘What do you want me to do with this information? Where do we go now?’”

Um, their separate ways?

“Elizabeth has come to the realization that the love is lost between the two of them and it’s not coming back,” confirms Herbst. But “they’re going to try to work things out for the sake of the children.”

Despite Lucky’s indiscretion. “The fact is Elizabeth doesn’t want to sleep with Lucky, so what difference does it make if he’s sleeping with somebody else?” shrugs Herbst. “Elizabeth’s heart is with Jason.”

And she has an opportunity to retrieve it when Lulu is kidnapped and calls Elizabeth for help.

“Elizabeth gets a message from Lulu to pick her up at a barn off Route 91,” recounts Herbst. “When Elizabeth gets there, she finds Jason. He and Spinelli already rescued Lulu and took her home, but Jason returned to the barn to look for clues about [Lulu’s abductor], Johnny Zacchara.”

The pair are “surprised and excited to see each other, but nervous at the same time,” says Herbst. “They’re trying to act casual and normal, when all they really want to do is jump into each other’s arms.”

Instead, Jason asks Elizabeth about Lucky, and she confesses that her husband bedded Sam. It prompts Jason to do some ‘fessing up of his own. Namely, that Sam knows the truth about Jake’s paternity.

“Elizabeth is stunned,” gasps Herbst. “Sam, the one person she hates the most, knows Jason is Jake’s father. Elizabeth has no faith in Sam keeping her mouth shut, especially now that she’s sleeping with Lucky. If people find out the truth, the boys are going to be in danger. Elizabeth is terrified.”

Luckily, er, fortunately, Jason is there to ease her fears…
