Maybe Guza isn't giving Geary the material to guarantee that he won't be nominated in Lead Actor category so that his pet, Steve Burton will get nominated. Jason is on 2/3's of every day so he should have plenty of material, but can Burton beat the other heavy-weights in Lead category though?

This has been a dismal year for Luke and for Geary. Guza is just not interested in Luke and it shows. With Geary's long vacations and Luke's lack of interesting storylines, his bargaining has been devalued. Maybe tptb think they can get along without him; because if they were really interested in keeping him, wouldn't they be giving him some better material? I think his contract is up shortly after new year and with tptb attitude toward age, their refusal to bring back Laura (Genie) Geary must be in a tenuous negotiating position.
