He said that he hoped she returned, but that it was between her and ABC. He then said they had their fingers crossed. I don't think he knew anything about Genie's return when this interview was given.

But I wonder about now. Tony and Genie are presenting together at the Daytime Emmys. Could they be planning to announce her return to GH at the awards? If not, I think this will be kind of awkward for Genie. She wants to return to GH and she'll be facing the people who haven't even asked her back.
