Back in the beginning, Spin was more smartass snarky and less nerd. He knew how to use a gun, because he grabbed one handily and took off leaving Lulu and Jason behind. He also left hints with Lulu how to find him in Tennessee.(he tells Sonny he doesn't drink much--he was guzzling that stuff back then) So, TPTB changed the character to more of an innocent dweeb when Spin got back from Tennessee, but that could also fit in with being undercover.

I'd love Granny to be his contact like O'Reilly was Robert's. He could have genuine feelings for Lulu and Jason.. I would actually like all the new kids to be feds and to turn GH around..

But honestly? Guza just isn't that clever. Sonny and the mob guys have been our "heroes" for years, and even though the fans have griped about warped morals, TPTB seem afraid or too stubborn to change anything. I know they are supposedly doing a DEPARTED story, (I'm not familar with the movie) but since Ric is on the police side but considered bad and evil, if they recruit Logan, he will be on the wrong side. Coop will be the good guy working undercover for Sonny.

Also, Look at this Jerry as Craig story. It makes NO sense at all. Most of the GH stories are dropped, nonsensical or repetitive.
