Get real, most sales jobs will have you talk to people you know first. If you think ANYONE will make a living off of friends and family then you just don't understand the basics of sales. Everyone I have ever talked with at Primerica does business with people they have never meet because you will run out of people REAL quick if you only have family and friends as prospects. As with any sales job, you start doing business with the direction of getting referrals to keep the ball rolling. Once you are through your first set of referrals almost everyone you are talking to are far enough removed from you initail contacts that you have never heard of them before. I have reviewed all of this negative crap and so far I have seen none of it as I have persued the Primerica opportunity. Maybe you just dealt with some bad people. I don't know but I do know the offices here in the Chicago area that I have looked into have all been very professional offices with quality people in them and they have not lied to me but have made it clear that it is commission, it is hard and that most won't make it.
